The channels of INTACT Group continue to appreciate in terms of audience, as they do since January. Thus, in April, Anetenele have strengthened their leading position among the audience of the whole urban area. In Day-Time, INTACT market share is 20%, while Pro TV has 14.8% in the mentioned time interval, 10.00-16.00. Moreover, Antenele knew an increase in audience in Prime Time, unlike their main competitor, CME, whose ratings and market share were descending.
The performance of INTACT is especially notable as, starting from April 20th, their programs are not broadcasted on the DTH platform of RCS – RDS. It proves that the abusive removal of Digi does not affect the audience. A higher number of viewers were watching the programs of Antene. The DTH penetration of RCS is higher in rural areas than in cities. On the other hand, there are Romanians who subscribe to both cable and satellite and were not affected by the decision of Digi TV. And finally, the alarming rumors launched by some publications regarding the decline of the Intact television distribution market are just … rumors: a large number of Romanians who are listed as subscribers of this platform are working abroad, so they are not the “real” Romanian market. Then, in the city between the hours most disputed – from 19.00 to 23.00 – Antennas audience knows an ascending trend. Furthermore, the signals received from viewers, many have opted for the services of other cable and satellite provider which contains the programs of the group.
Not only CME, but also Pro TV knew a decline in Prime -Time
The televisions of Intact have increased by 8% in Prime Time, while CME stations knew a decrease of 6% during the same time slot. Moreover, trends are preserved also for the main channels of the two trusts: Antena 1 knew an increase of 12% in April, while Pro TV knew a decrease of 5%.
Programs whose market share registered an upward curve in April compared with March are: Te cunosc de undeva, Te pui cu blondele, Gabi Firea Show, Observatorul de noapte – de la Antena 1; In premiera, Subiectiv si Vorbe grele – la Antena 3.
