The Antena family of channels boosted its Prime –Time market share numbers during January-August 2017 on the commercial and national targets, compared to the same period of last year. On the urban target, the Group’s TV stations led the market during, Day Time, Access and Late Fringe, while on the national target they adjudicated the Day Time and Access intervals.
Antena 1, the flagship entertainment channel, home to the largest star system in Romania, consolidated its Prime Time and Late Fringe market share numbers on the commercial target.
During January-August 2017, the market share increased by 3% during Prime Time and 9% during Late Fringe, while audience numbers grew by 4% during Late Fringe on the 18-49 target, compared to the same period of last year.
Topping the audience charts in August were the reality show Insula Iubirii (Temptation Island), followed by the productions “Aventura cu 4 stele” and “Fantastic Show”.
Antena 1 was watched in August, during Whole Day, for at least one minute, by 6,2 million Romanians, whilst www.A1.ro had almost 5 million unique users.
Antena Stars, the only TV channel dedicated to showbiz, had significant audience and market share growth during August, as well as year to date.
In August, the most notable audience increase was during Prime-Time, precisely 25% compared to the same period of last year. Year to date, the audience numbers grew by 33% during Late Fringe.
Consolidation of the market share numbers in August relates to the intervals Prime Time (6%) and Day Time (22%), while year to date the numbers evolve during Day Time (4%) and Late Fringe (18%).
Over 2.7 million Romanians watched Antena Stars in August, during Whole Day, for at least one minute. The most popular productions were “Star Chef”, “Cool summer nights”, “Alege Dragostea” and “Star matinal e pe val”.
Happy Channel, the Group’s TV station addressed to women, was watched in August by more than a million Romanians every day, on the National level. The most popular series of the station included “ Elita societății”, “Iubire si razbunare”, “Elif”.
Antena 3 led the news niche on important time segments year to date, amongst which Whole Day and Prime Time. As such, the audience appreciated by 6% during the Whole Day, while the market share increased on all time slots, on the Urban 18+ target.
The news channel was audience leader during Morning, while having evolving numbers in Access (6%). The market share appreciates during Day Time (4&), Morning (8%) and Access (3%), compared to August 2016.
Antena 3 was watched in August by more than 3.6 Romanians every day, on the National level. Voi cu Voicu”, “Adevăruri Ascunse, “Punctul de Intalnire”, “SInteza Zilei”, were the most watched programs over the last month. On the digital front, Antena3.ro had more than 4 million unique users in August.
ZU TV, the only interactive station in Romania, appreciates its market share during August on all time intervals. The most watched programs included “Most wanted”, “Zunrise”, and“ZU music mix”.
Over 8,3 million Romanians watched Intact’s family of TV channels in August during Whole Day, for at least one minute, on national level, while 5,4 million were reached during Prime Time.
